Helping Kids Thrive with Physical Therapy

Hi, I'm Emily!

Hey y’all! I’m Dr. Emily, a passionate Physical Therapist with over 10 years of experience helping little humans achieve big goals. I’m dedicated to providing compassionate care that supports children in building the motor skills, strength, coordination, balance, and biomechanics they need to grow, explore the world around them, and reach developmental milestones. Through evidence-based, play-based therapy and strong partnerships with families, I strive to create meaningful progress for every child while empowering families with the tools they need to support lifelong movement and success.

Why I love what I do:

What I love most about being a pediatric therapist is helping children of all ages and abilities discover what their bodies can do, build confidence in their movement, and celebrate meaningful milestones—like sitting, crawling, or taking first steps—alongside their families.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I’m excited about in-home therapy because children often learn best in the comfort of their own environment, where therapy can feel more relaxed and meaningful while allowing real-life routines and activities to support skills that carry over into everyday life.

What does a Physical Therapist Do?

Developmental physical therapists support children in building movement and motor skills—so they can grow, explore, and move with confidence. If your child struggles with things like walking, climbing stairs, balance, or coordinating movements, a pediatric PT can help.

Pediatric PTs focus on:

  • Gross motor skills – like crawling, walking, running, jumping, or riding a bike
  • Balance and coordination – helping kids feel steady on their feet and move smoothly between activities
  • Strength and endurance – building the muscle power kids need for play, sports, and daily activities
  • Movement patterns – teaching proper ways to move that prevent injury and support healthy development
  • Mobility and independence – helping kids navigate stairs, playgrounds, and their environment safely

Pediatric developmental physical therapy supports kids at home, at school, and during play—so they can feel confident and capable in how they move through their world every day.

How my practice is special

one
Whole-Child Development

I address more than physical milestones - I nurture confidence, emotional resilience, and a positive connection to movement alongside therapeutic skills.

two
Strength, Movement & Performance Expertise

With a background as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, former athlete, and MMA co-coach, I integrate body mechanics, strength training, coordination, and balance into therapy, making it both safe and engaging.

three
Family Empowerment & Support

My therapy style emphasizes practical, play-based strategies that involve families, ensuring children can generalize skills into daily routines and experience lasting progress beyond sessions.

Client testimonials

Our twins spent 3 months in the hospital after they were born because of a lot of medical complications. We were immediately concerned about their motor development since they missed a lot of early movement time to hit their milestones. Dr. Emily has been so patient and helpful through the whole process. The day our babies started crawling felt like the biggest victory for our family. We’re incredibly grateful for her support.

Parent in Pasadena, TX

Our son used to trip and fall constantly out of nowhere, even just walking around the house. We thought he was just clumsy but Dr. Emily was extremely observant and quickly figured out what was going on and started working on his balance, coordination, and flexibility. After a few months of therapy the difference is very noticeable. He’s much steadier now and way more confident with a more natural walking pattern. It’s been a big relief for us as parents knowing he's safer and less prone to injury.

Parent in Kemah, TX

As a new parent, hearing the word torticollis was scary. Dr. Emily has been so reassuring and positive. She walked us through everything step by step. She makes the sessions feel comfortable and turns it into a great bonding experience for me with my baby. My daughter’s neck movement and posture has improved so much. She's now turning her head both sides and is more active in her mobility. I'm so thankful to Dr. Emily!
