Helping Kids Thrive with Speech Therapy

Hi, I'm Erik!
As a pediatric speech-language pathologist, I’ve spent my career helping young children find their voices and thrive. I started in Early Intervention, working in a variety of in-home and school settings. I began my work in New Jersey, supporting families in diverse communities before moving to Westfield, MA.
I have extensive experience with a wide range of developmental needs, including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, and lead exposure. My approach is rooted in play, patience, and partnership; I believe in meeting children where they are and giving parents the tools and confidence to support their growth every day.
It truly takes a village and I’m excited to be part of yours!
Why I love what I do:
What I love most is watching kids grow. Seeing their progress and the confidence that comes with it is the best part of what I do.
Why I’m passionate about in-home care:
I believe parents play a key role in their child’s progress and that therapy works best when we work together. In-home sessions make it easy to stay connected, share feedback, and create a true team approach to care.
What does a Speech Therapist Do?
Speech-language pathologists (also known as speech therapists or SLPs) help kids communicate—whether they’re late to talk, hard to understand, or struggling to express themselves. They also support kids with feeding, swallowing, and social interaction. SLPs focus on:
- Speech sounds – helping kids say words clearly so others can understand them
- Language development – building vocabulary, following directions, and expressing ideas
- Social skills – learning how to have conversations, ask questions, advocate for their needs, and take turns
- Stuttering – supporting smoother, more confident speech
Speech therapy gives kids the tools to express themselves and connect with the people around them—at home, in school, and in the world.

How my practice is special
A Unique Connection
As one of the few men in this field, I bring a different energy to sessions. Many kids feel especially comfortable with my playful, active style. I have been able to build a connection and find success with patients who've had a difficult time with other therapists.
Learning Through Play
I keep therapy fun and engaging because kids learn best when they’re enjoying themselves. Play-based sessions help build strong connections and better outcomes.
Parents Are the Key
I work closely with families to inspire confidence in supporting their child. Clear communication and teamwork are at the heart of every session!
Client testimonials
Working with Erik was life-changing for our family. In just a few months, our son went from struggling to express his basic needs to having back and forth conversations with us. His approach is warm, patient, fun, and engaging. We couldn’t be more grateful for the progress we’ve seen.
Working alongside Erik as a translator, I saw firsthand how deeply he connected with each child and tailored therapy to each unique child. Erik's sessions were always engaging, effective, and culturally sensitive. It was inspiring to watch children make real progress because of his skill and compassion. Erik is not only a skilled therapist but also a compassionate and collaborative professional.
Finding Erik was one of the best things that’s happened for our family. As a parent of a child with autism, we were unsure how to support their communication needs but Erik brought clarity, structure, and constant support. We've seen incredible progress not only in speech but also in their social interactions. Just as important, Erik took the time to explain every step of the way to us and made the therapy feel like a team effort. We’re so thankful for the care and expertise he brought into our lives.
