Helping Kids Thrive with Occupational Therapy

Hi, I'm Giana!

Hello! I’m a pediatric occupational therapist with a passion for helping children grow, play, and build confidence in their everyday routines. I work with children of all ages and abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, and sensory challenges. I strive to bring creativity and patience to every session - whether it’s strengthening fine motor and gross motor skills, building independence with self-care, or supporting sensory needs, I focus on making therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for each child.

Why I love what I do:

No two children are the same, and I love getting creative! I enjoy working closely with families to come up with creative ideas that realistically fit into their lives and can be implemented within existing routines.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I'm excited to see children where they are most comfortable, and have their families (parents/caregivers, grandparents, even siblings!) participate in therapy.

What Does an Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help. OTs focus on:

Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors
• Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)
Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home‍
Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, potty training, or washing hands

Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every da

How my practice is special

one
Whole Picture Assessment

I look at your child as a whole person, evaluating everything from handwriting and movement to how they process sensory information and manage daily tasks. This helps me understand all of your child's strengths and challenges so we can create the best plan for their success.

two
Working Together as a Team

I take time to understand your family's unique situation and work closely with you, teachers, and other important people in your child's life. My recommendations are designed to fit into your real-world routines and can actually be carried out by the people who support your child every day.

three
Following Your Child's Lead

I believe therapy works best when kids are excited and engaged, so I let your child help guide our sessions based on their interests and what motivates them. This approach keeps them actively involved in their own progress while still working toward their important goals.
