Helping Kids Thrive with Speech Therapy

Hi, I'm Kendra

With over 25 years of experience in Speech-Language Pathology across diverse settings, I’m passionate about guiding every voice to its full potential. In my private practice, I partner closely with parents and caregivers to create personalized, strength-based strategies tailored to your child’s unique needs. Together, we’ll celebrate each milestone with joy and nurture your child’s communication journey—making therapy both sweet and effective.

Why I love what I do:

I love the variety of cases I get to work with, as each child brings their own unique strengths and challenges. Most of all, I find joy in helping children find their voice and confidently use it to express themselves.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I love working directly with families and caregivers to support functional communication that isn’t shaped by unrealistic academic expectations.

What does a Speech Therapist Do?

Speech-language pathologists (also known as speech therapists or SLPs) help kids communicate—whether they’re late to talk, hard to understand, or struggling to express themselves. They also support kids with feeding, swallowing, and social interaction. SLPs focus on:

  • Speech sounds – helping kids say words clearly so others can understand them
  • Language development – building vocabulary, following directions, and expressing ideas
  • Social skills – learning how to have conversations, ask questions, advocate for their needs, and take turns
  • Stuttering – supporting smoother, more confident speech

Speech therapy gives kids the tools to express themselves and connect with the people around them—at home, in school, and in the world.

How my practice is special

Engaging Activities to Motivate Communication

I use fun and interactive activities that excite children and encourage them to communicate in a natural, meaningful way.

three
Experienced ant Energetic Approach

Even after many years in the field, I bring a very young and enthusiastic attitude to every session, making therapy enjoyable for children and families alike.
