Kim Santos - Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Greater North Boston

Helping Kids Thrive with Occupational Therapy

Hi, I'm Kim!

A compassionate pediatric occupational therapist with experience in outpatient pediatrics, inpatient rehab, and pediatric residential care.
I take a play-based, flexible, and family-centered approach to support children’s growth in motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and overall independence.

I have experience working with children with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, developmental delays, and neurological conditions. My goal is to make therapy creative, meaningful, and supportive for every child and family I work with.

Why I love what I do:

What I love most about my work is supporting families so they know they’re not alone, while helping each child grow in confidence, independence, and joy.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I’m excited about in-home therapy because it lets me meet children where they’re most comfortable, create strategies that fit naturally into family life, and partner closely with caregivers to make progress meaningful and lasting.

What does a Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help. OTs focus on:

Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors

Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)

Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home

Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, potty training, or washing hands. Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every day
