Lana Kaykov – Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Toms River, NJ

Helping Kids Thrive with Occupational Therapy

Hi, I’m Lana Kaykov

I’m a licensed Occupational Therapist with three years of pediatric experience in outpatient and school-based settings. I support children with autism, ADHD, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, and fine and gross motor challenges. I’m passionate about helping children build confidence and independence through engaging, individualized therapy while partnering with families every step of the way.

Why I love what I do:

The most rewarding part of being a pediatric Occupational Therapist is helping children build confidence, discover what they’re capable of, and achieve new skills while creating meaningful relationships with the children and families I serve.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I’m excited to provide in-home therapy because it allows me to support children in their natural environment while partnering closely with families to create personalized strategies that fit into everyday routines.

What does a Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help.

OTs focus on:

Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors

Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)

Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home

Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, potty training, or washing hands.

Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every day.
