Hi, I'm Lizzi!
I've been a pediatric speech therapist for over 7 years! I have a passion for early language development, speech sound disorders, sensory based feeding, and the use of AAC. I love helping each child find their voice! My approach to therapy is rooted in collaboration and family-centered care. I believe in forming strong partnerships with families and working closely with each child’s therapy team to ensure maximum growth potential. I’m committed to making therapy sessions fun and engaging, fostering a positive and supportive environment where children can thrive and express themselves confidently!
Why I love what I do:
Helping children discover their voices and gain the confidence to express themselves is the most rewarding part of my work. Whether it’s hearing a first word, trying a new food, or using an AAC device for the first time, every step forward is worth celebrating.
Why I’m passionate about in-home care:
In-home therapy allows me to meet children where they are most comfortable and successful. I love weaving real-life routines into sessions, making new skills more functional and easier for families to carry over. It also gives me the chance to coach and empower parents and caregivers directly, so they feel confident supporting their child’s growth outside of sessions.
What Does a Speech Therapist Do?
Speech-language pathologists (also known as speech therapists or SLPs) help kids communicate. We support children who may be late to talk, hard to understand, or having trouble expressing themselves. SLPs also work with feeding, swallowing, and social interaction skills.
Areas we focus on include:
- Speech sounds: Helping kids say words clearly so others can understand them.
- Language development: Building vocabulary, following directions, and expressing ideas.
- Social skills: Learning and practicing conversation skills, asking questions, advocating for needs, and taking turns.
- Stuttering: Supporting smoother, more confident speech.
- Feeding and swallowing: Helping with picky eating, chewing, swallowing challenges, and texture sensitivities.
Speech therapy gives children the tools to express themselves and connect with the people around them: at home, at school, and in the community.

Early Intervention Expertise
I have a strong background in early language development and foundational communication skills. I am DIRFloortime® trained and use play-based therapy, making sessions engaging, child-led, and meaningful.
Family-Centered Approach
I prioritize collaboration with caregivers, as well as a child’s OT, PT, teachers, and IEP team to ensure consistency and support. I empower parents with strategies they can use every day to help their child grow with confidence.
AAC Expertise
I specialize in device funding, trials, programming, and training. I help families weave AAC into daily routines, supporting communication and independence across all environments.
