Morgan Hassa - Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Chicago

Helping Kids Thrive with Occupational Therapy

Hi, I'm Morgan!

I’m a licensed occupational therapist with over 4 years of experience supporting school aged children with fine motor and sensory needs. With a background in travel therapy, I thrive on the opportunity to bring my expertise to new environments, adapt to different goals and opportunities, and collaborate with caregivers to create personalized, effective treatment plans. Through play-based activities and collaboration, your child will learn and grow with confidence. I cannot wait to start helping your child feel more independent and have fun while doing it!

Why I love what I do:

I love forming connections with kids and their families. Seeing kids hit their goals for the first time or try something new is what makes being an OT so meaningful.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

I am excited to provide resources that can be used everyday to support growth and confidence for both the parents and their kids.

What does an Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help. OTs focus on:

Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors
Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)
Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home‍
Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, potty training, or washing hands

Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every da
