Pauline Mohs - Pediatric Occupational Therapist in Andover, MA

Helping Kids Thrive with Occupational Therapy

Hi, I'm Pauline!

a passionate and energetic Occupational Therapist with 14 years of experience in both the pediatric and adult inpatient and outpatient world. I have a passion for play, having fun, and helping families and children in need. I have both an MA and NH license as well as my certification in Neuro-developmental Treatment (NDT) with a speciality in pediatric Cerebral Palsy.

Why I love what I do:

I love the versatility of working not only with children, but their families and caregivers. I love thinking on the fly, being creative, and seeing joy on children's faces in our sessions. Experiencing parents and caregivers feel deep pride and joy when their children succeed is one of my favorite things about the work I do.

Why I’m passionate about in-home care:

Consistency, reality, and carryover is KEY! I love to help bridge progress into function. Focusing on the achievable and making changes that fit needs of families in their homes is my specialty.

What does a Occupational Therapist Do?

Occupational therapists support children in building everyday skills—so they can grow, play, and be more independent. If your child struggles with things like getting dressed, using utensils, paying attention, or staying calm in new situations, an OT can help. OTs focus on:

  • Fine motor skills – like holding a pencil, buttoning a shirt, or using scissors
  • Sensory processing – supporting kids who are extra sensitive to sounds, textures, or movement (or don’t seem to notice them at all)
  • Emotional regulation – helping kids manage big feelings and focus at school or home
  • Independence and daily skills – like brushing teeth, tying shoes, potty training, or washing hands

Occupational therapy supports kids at home, at school, and in everyday life—so they can feel confident and capable in the things they do every day.

How my practice is special

Wide Range of Resources & Experience

I've worked with many different interdisciplinary team members including physical therapists, speech and language therapists, respiratory therapists, teachers, mental health processional, primary care providers, and families.
