In-home pediatric occupational therapy to build independence, confidence, and everyday skills.
When to Consider OT
Every child develops differently — but if something feels off, trust your instincts. Our pediatric OTs are trained to assess and treat a wide range of developmental and sensory challenges.
Many kids experience sensory sensitivities — avoiding certain textures, feeling overwhelmed by noise, or seeking constant movement. OT helps your child feel more comfortable through fun, sensory-based activities.
Big feelings can feel overwhelming for children. OTs teach calming strategies and coping skills so your child can manage emotions, build confidence, and handle everyday challenges with more ease.
From holding a pencil to using scissors or managing buttons, fine motor skills impact daily life. OTs use playful techniques to improve strength and coordination for handwriting, dressing, and feeding.
Struggling with getting dressed, brushing teeth, or using utensils? OT helps kids master the self-care routines that build independence and confidence in everyday life.
Big changes — like starting preschool or moving to kindergarten — can feel overwhelming. OT helps children develop the focus, independence, and adaptability to handle classroom expectations with confidence.

From the first evaluation to ongoing progress, here's what to expect when your child starts occupational therapy with Coral Care.
Your OT will meet your child and assess any concerns. You should be present the whole time to share medical history, milestones, and observations.
Depending on age, your occupational therapist may use games and play to engage your child. Play makes sessions fun while helping the OT assess for delays or other issues.
You're encouraged to be present and ask questions throughout. Parent involvement typically leads to better outcomes.
After the evaluation, your OT will discuss findings and propose a plan including recommended goals, session frequency, duration, and any additional referrals.
Your Coral Care OT will work with you to schedule regular at-home sessions. In-home treatments fit seamlessly into your day and work best for both families and providers.
Session activities vary based on your child's age and needs. Younger children may do sensory exercises and games tailored to their specific goals.
Your OT will give you exercises to practice at home. Consistency with sessions and at-home practice is key — and you will see improvements.
